I'll dominate 'credible combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to promote the upcoming boxing match.

Former twice world boxing king Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Fighter's Mentality

"I will injure his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

Despite these statements, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually famous for his showmanship - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's biggest financial successes, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.

"It will be my match with Fury next year," Paul said.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul met for the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the match is really proceeding.
